Coastal Maine, USA . . . . . . . . .

This is where Bob and I spent today in brilliant sunshine
and 78 degrees. . .talk about a perfect late Summer's
day, this was it!

Cape Neddick Lighthouse known as 'Nubble Light', York, Maine,
was built in 1879 and is still in use today.

Perkins Cove, Ogunquit Beach, Maine. . . we spent
many a Summer's day here between 1965-1977 when we lived
in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, and always love
to come back.

Wild white roses at the beach.

Tomorrow we plan more New England travel. . . heading inland
from the Maine coast to New Hampshire's White Mountains,
then on into Vermont.

  3. Such vibrant, brilliant colors in all your photos! We went to Cape Cod on family vacation when I was little. It was summer but I remember the water being so ice cold we couldn't eat put our toes in it. Right now, 78 degrees sounds awesome. A beautiful area to visit. Have fun! Tammy

  8. In 1999, we took my parents on a trip to Maine & it was one of my favorites! I loved that old lighthouse. We went to Kennabunkport & then on to Bar Harbour where we stayed in a B&B. I would love to go back!

  9. It's too bad you had to go to New England for the reason you did, but I am glad you can make a little holiday of it too.
